Unable to set

If the keypad will not set, look for a flashing ALERT light. The screen names the fault.

  1. Read the display. Common messages are an open door or window, a detector, or a battery.
  2. Press NO to see further faults if more than one is listed.
  3. Close the door or window named. For a PIR, make sure nothing is hanging in front of it.
  4. Try to set again. See set and unset.
  • Battery on a wireless device — we need to replace that pack. Do not leave it; supervision faults will come back. See mains and battery faults.
  • Mains / power — check the fused spur or plug that feeds the panel. After a power cut, the clock can be wrong; the panel usually picks NTP up if Wi‑Fi is on.
  • Wi‑Fi / comms — the app and SMS may stop. Point the panel at 2.4GHz Wi‑Fi: new Wi‑Fi on the alarm.
  • Tamper — a lid or detector is off. Do not force it. Call us.

If it still will not set, send us the words on the display.
