This statement sets out the steps Keiron Cheesbrough Ltd takes to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain. We publish this statement voluntarily. Under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, a formal annual statement is required for commercial organisations with a turnover of £36 million or more. Our turnover is below that threshold. We still maintain a clear zero-tolerance stance and expect the same from suppliers and subcontractors.

1. Our business

Keiron Cheesbrough Ltd designs, installs, commissions and maintains professional telecoms and security systems for customers across the UK, with occasional work abroad. We employ our own engineers and also use trusted subcontractors and suppliers of goods and services where needed. Our registered office is 97c Alexandra Road, Tipton, West Midlands, DY4 8TD. Company number 11885860.

2. Our policy on modern slavery

• We have zero tolerance for slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking.
• We do not use forced, bonded, trafficked or involuntary prison labour.
• We do not withhold original identity documents or use deposits that trap people in work.
• Employment and engagement must be voluntary and lawful.
• This stance forms part of our Ethical Trading Policy and applies to our workforce, suppliers, subcontractors and labour agencies.

3. Supply chain

• We expect suppliers and subcontractors to meet the same standards.
• We take reasonable steps when engaging suppliers: fitness for the work, insurance and competence where relevant, and acting on credible concerns.
• We do not operate a full formal supplier audit programme. Where a concern about modern slavery arises, we will investigate promptly, protect people where we can influence the situation, and end or remediate the relationship as appropriate.
• We will cooperate with reasonable customer information requests about responsible sourcing.

4. Due diligence and risk

• Our main labour risk is in field and subcontract labour for installations and maintenance, and in manufactured goods sourced via distributors.
• We prefer UK-based or known suppliers where practical.
• Recruitment for our own workforce is handled directly; we do not use arrangements that look like sham self-employment to avoid legal obligations.
• High-risk indicators (withheld documents, cash-only underpayment, workers who cannot leave, coercion) must be escalated immediately to the Managing Director.

5. Training and awareness

• Staff who buy goods, engage subcontractors, or supervise site labour are expected to know this statement and the Ethical Trading Policy.
• Awareness is covered at induction and when this statement is updated.
• Anyone can raise a concern through Speak up (whistleblowing) without fear of retaliation.
